Membership Benefits and Expectations

Membership Benefits

  1. Engage in a cooperative spirit of fellowship and sharing of ideas and techniques with fellow potters
  2. Regular studio time Sundays 10-5.
  3. Regular bisque and glaze firings
  4. Networking opportunities
  5. Regular glazing sessions with access to a minimum of four glazes
  6. Clay available for purchase at a competitive price
  7. Access to a page on the guild website
  8. Access to a library of resource material

Full Membership Expectations

  1. Follow guidelines presented by Studio Coordinator (present at every open studio)
  2. Provide your own tools (a basic set is available for sale through the Cultural Center)
  3. Opportunities to work with other potters to build the guild and/or help organize guild events
  4. Cleanup must be completed by 5 pm and is regulated by the Studio Potters Manual
  5. A minimum of six volunteer hours per session are required
  6. Clay must be purchased from the guild. Only guild clay will be fired.
  7. Regular bisque and glaze firings included in the price of the clay.
  8. Free participation in at least 2 annual guild sales (Christmas and Spring Fling)

Associate Membership Expectations

1. Use of studio for glazing only

2. A minimum of three volunteer hours per session are required

3. Regular bisque and glaze firings included with the price of the clay.

4. Free participation in at least 2 annual guild sales (Christmas and Spring Fling)

5. Clay must be purchased from the guild. Only guild clay will be fired.
